elcome to the 16th century!
St. Elizabeth's Guilde would like to welcome you to the exciting world of Historical recreation!

St. Elizabeth's Guilde is a not for profit corporation that brings the reign of Queen Elizabeth I to life.
Through the use of trained actors and authentically recreated costumes and props St. Elizabeth's Guilde creates an interactive world of living history.
The Guilde brings Queen Elizabeth and her Court to your event, whether this event is a corporate dinner or a Renaissance Faire.
St. Elizabeth's Guilde is comprised of approximately 100 members who rank from beginner to experienced performers.
The Guilde itself has several parts to assist in its recreation of the various levels of Elizabethan court society. From the Queens Guard and Her Majesties Household to the Highest of Courtiers and State Officials we bring them all to life at your event.
What St. Elizabeth's Guilde brings to your event is an area that touches your patrons or guests. Through the use of environmental theatre in the round, the Guilde's members work with each other to involve your patrons or guests in the events of the day. These events may include a scripted stage show, a Royal Progress about the Shire, and a meeting of Her Majesties Privy council. They may also include choreographed sword fights, and Knighting Ceremonies just to list some of the available events. St. Elizabeth's Guilde also can work with the faire promoters to create an ambiance about your event of the time of the Renaissance in England.
The Guilde has members of all ages and experience. The Directors of the Guilde have over 25 years of experience at playing faire, along with amateur and professional theater credits. The Guilde is not just a performance troupe so much as a group of dedicated recreationists. The Guilde teaches classes on everything from improvisational theatre to projection all the way through to the history of the time period and those that proceed. The reasons for this is that we endeavor to bring the time period to our audiences in such a way that not just entertains them but allows them to learn about it too. The Guilde has been used at such events as the Ojai Renaissance Festival, and the Fresno City College Renaissance Faire, the latter of which is an AIDs benefit. The Guilde has in the past worked for Karpeles Manuscript Library where we were called upon to bring to life the writers of various letters and manuscripts that they had on display.
The Guilde performs living history through the use of improvisational theater in the round techniques.
These techniques are taught by members of the Guilde that have the theatrical experience and the technical training to do the instructing.
The Guilde would like to bring these talented and skilled people, our period encampment that covers over 100 square feet with a Queens Pavilion, Household facade, and Guards area to your event!
All these props and all the performers are waiting for your call!!
